  • MAI Designation of the Appraisal Institute - Successful completion of 12 courses comprising 401 hours of graduate level education, demonstration report, 4,500 hours of peer-reviewed experience, and a two-day, four module comprehensive exam.
  • CCIM Designation of the CCIM Institute of the National Association of Realtors –Certified Commercial Investment Member - Successful completion of four courses comprising 176 of education in Financial, Market, User Decision, and Investment analysis; and six hour Comprehensive Examination.
  • GAA and RAA Designations of the Appraisal Section of the National Association of Realtors – General and Residential Accredited Appraiser – Successful completion of six courses comprising over 250 hours of appraisal education and 3,500 hours of work experience.
  • Real Estate Consulting and Appraisal - 273 hours of continuing education courses and seminars relating to various real estate property types, consulting, and computer software and technology.
  • Eminent Domain – 79 hours of continuing education sponsored by the Appraisal Institute and International Right of Way in topics specific to eminent domain including: partial interest, expert witness testimony, and litigation support. 
  • Real Estate Instructor Education – 52 hours of coursework in adult education techniques. Appraisal Institute Associate Instructor for Course 110-Appraisal Principals.
EXPERIENCE:

Twenty-seven years of experience in real estate, including: land development and construction; appraisal of residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial properties; and market and feasibility analysis. Former employers include Atlanta, Georgia based national appraisal firms: Kirkland and Company and Pritchett, Ball, and Wise.

  • Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI); Currently serves on the Finance, Associate Guidance, and Membership committees of the Virginia Commonwealth Chapter; Former service includes: Chapter Treasurer, Chairman of the Finance and Associate's Guidance committees; and member of the national Leadership Development and Advisory Council; Region V Chapter Representative.
